Affiliate programs that are well-known and that you can consider to use for your website.

There are a number of honest companies that are very comprehensive in offering affiliate products for hundreds of well-known and small companies.  It's a great way to find a program that will work for your website theme. 

There are also individual companies that offer affiliate products that may work nicely for you as well.  Many times it's just finding the right niche product or products for you website.  It took me a little time to find out what products my visitors were interested in because I began with my own products first. Therefore I didn't create my website as an affiliate site centered around a product or product.  So I have to find products that flowed with what I was offering on my website.

It took me some time to find these affiliate advertisers so this should help you in your affiliate search.  I have used all of the companies above and I have always been paid within the specified times stated.  However my best affiliate payout so far has been with the Site Build It affiliate program (see below).  

What I have found after promoting affiliates products for over four years is that I prefer using the affiliate programs that do not go through an advertising company such as Linkshare with the exception of Barnes and Nobel.

The only reason for this is because I do not have a site that centers around affiliate products, but my own. Therefore it is too time consuming for me to change the product links every month or so that are offering a new program for the same items I am promoting. If you have an affilite site this shouldn't be a problem if you are continually maintaining it.

MY FAVORITE AFFILIATE PROGRAM

I earn the largest affiliate commissions through SBI or Site Build It.  By owning an SBI site I gets lots of free targeted traffic to my site because of their marketing techniques.
