Learn about bankruptcy and the Bible. Many Christians believe bankruptcy is not a Biblical means of debt relief, but if they are deeply in debt and they have no other means of relief, this might be a good solution. So I felt a little education on the subject was necessary.

If one hasn't developed faith for God to provide $100.00 or even $10.00, how are they going to believe God for $30,000 and receive it? Faith doesn't work with fear, doubt and stress, so unless a person has built up a faith foundation to fight the battle of debt and job loss with confidence that God will see them through, chances are slim that they will receive what they are seeking. Fear and doubt are not of God. He is not able to work on your behalf through such emotions.
Yet, the idea of bankruptcy seems as distant and far off as the moon in their thinking because they see it as going against the Bible. What I want to do for you is open your mind about bankruptcy and it's use with God's Word to show you an option that might be right for you and your situation.

However, with that same Christian logic, it is equally wrong to get into excessive debt or any debt at all. So when we look at bankruptcy from a Biblical standpoint, we have to see the whole picture, and then approach it from a place of wisdom and guidance from God. |

One might think that claiming to use faith for debt relief and then going into bankruptcy is as hypocritical as claiming to use a natural means of looking younger while actually getting plastic surgery to enhance one's appearance. But it's not the same at all.
What we have to do is use getting out debt as a means of re-learning how to regard money God's way to help us take control over it. Becoming a Bible-based Christian doesn't happen overnight, it's a life-long process. So whether you're a seasoned Christian, a Christian new to the Word or a new Christian, you have to ask for God's forgiveness for your mistakes and then let Him show you His way. Once you do that, you automatically involve Him in your situation for success.
As you look to Him and follow the guidelines I give later in this series for building a strong foundation of faith in God you will see a beacon of light before you, guiding you out of debt and into financial increase. Of course you will not realize debt relief overnight, but God will get you through as you center upon Him first with your money and your life.
