Using faith
for career planning is an
important step in the discovery, development and utilization of your
interests,
talents, abilities and experience to bring you the greatest fulfillment.

Contrary
to
what many people believe, it doesn't matter what your age or where you
are in
life, if you have an unfulfilled dream, you need to realize it.
Everyone was
designed for a special purpose, so if you're not already, start living
yours
today by taking just one step, even if you feel stuck in a job you
hate! All you have to do is seek after what will make you
happy
and you've started the journey.
You
can and should seek after the destiny you were given - It will yield
the work
that will give you passion and joy to get up in the morning.
Most
of us as children
had an idea or passion about what we wanted to do as adults. Sadly as
time
passed, some of us either lost sight of our dreams, or we were told by
those we
respect that they're too high for us to attain because our expectations
are out
of proportion with our ability.
If you were fed that baloney, you were fed a lie! God put a dream in your heart to fulfill, and you can attain it or anything you want to do through His ability. You can begin right now by sitting down and taking some time to begin a career planning outline that will help you get started finding out what you would like to do and then how you're going to set about achieving that goal. It's best to break down the career, ministry, non-profit or business that you desire into small goals. The busier you are the smaller the goals. This way you will have the joy of changing your life even if you're busy.
As an example, I became a professional artist almost overnight. I was in my late twenties. I felt a strong leading to paint in oils and acrylics, and once I did, I began selling my work within a few weeks. I can honestly say that I never had one lesson as a child and I only took one remedial art class in mosaics as a teen. However I didn't have the confidence to pursue the interest that one class gave me in art.In
fact
nothing happened in my life to give me confidence to do anything. When
I was
nine, I submitted my artwork to a weekly paper that was distributed
nationally
to all the churches of my denomination. My drawing
of Jesus was accepted, but when I showed it to my family, they just
looked at
me like, so what! I never drew another thing again until I began
painting as an
adult.
My
mother had
told me from the time I could remember that I wasn't capable of
achieving
anything in life and that it was best I didn't speak because I sounded
stupid.
That impacted my life so much that I never spoke in school unless I had
to, and when I did, I stuttered. I didn't even sing in our
group
chorus for my six grade graduation.
It was mandatory, but they let me sit in the audience because I was too
afraid
to participate.
In
high
school I hardly spoke to anyone I didn't already know. It wasn't until
I left
home that I began to speak without it being painful. Once I was no
longer around the judgmental relatives who didn't have my best interest
at heart, I was "free to be ME." Sounds silly, but it's
difficult
for people to find success when they keep a close relationship
with people who want them to fail. It's a sad truth,
but one
that should be recognized.
I
was pitiful
all right! But this isn't a pity party.
Because
I was
such an extreme case of low self-esteem, I'm a great example for many
because
with God's help and guidance I became a full-functioning person. Those
who
doubt that God can turn their lives around can use my testimony to see
that God can
work miracles in our lives when we just trust in Him.
God
has given me a voice
and He has given you one too!
Should
your
past be worse than mine, you can still look at me and say, "well even
though her life was a mess, she made it. All the more reason that I
can."
My life had struggles along the way due to my difficult background, but as I trusted God I was able to make the changes I needed to achieve my goals. So my life turned out great!
My painting career led to a successful home business creating craft projects, testing them and then writing and selling the instructions. I loved every minute of it until I was led to write Christian materials and begin a ministry! However, I'm still selling those same craft books on my Christmas and craft site today! You can visit there to see the proof. God never wastes anything we do. And now that I'm retired, I have more time for a little art now and then.

So,
you get
the picture. I had a voice and so do you! No excuses as to why you
can't do anything. God will show you the way. He will help
you
change your negative mentality into a belief that you can do anything
through Jesus Christ. He will help you to get the
training
or education you need, and He will give you the
ability when you need help beyond your experience. It's that simple!
Really!
God will carve out a special path for you and lead the way.
