Your Money Can Lead You To Spiritual Growth

If you have more money going out than coming in or your're in debt, this is the time to turn to God.  

Ideally the best time to look to God is when things are going well, but when it comes to money, many churches don't teach their congregations why they should partner with God to prosper their money and how to do it.  So if your money situation is grim, now is the time to bring God into your circumstances.  

I have called the process of attaining money growth through scripture, "God's Wealth Plan" which which leads to Kingdom living based upon Matthew 6:25-34.

God's wealth plan is a process that includes the principles needed to receive financial blessings and the scriptural purpose and attitude one must develop. 

Kingdom Living

Center Upon God First and All Things Will Be Added To You.

As we look to Matthew 6:25-34 we see that as we center upon God first and trust Him to take care of us, all our needs will be more than met.  This life is the Christian lifestyle we are to develop in order to achieve our greatest fulfillment.  For the introduction to this study click here.

Money Growth Scripture From Proverbs

Proverbs 3:5-10 (KJV)

 5Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding.

 6In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.

 7Be not wise in thine own eyes: fear the LORD, and depart from evil.

 8It shall be health to thy navel, and marrow to thy bones.

 9Honour the LORD with thy substance (offerings), and with the first-fruits (tithes) of all thine increase:

 10So shall thy barns be filled with plenty, and thy presses shall burst out with new wine.  


Money Growth Scripture Explanation:

These are my favorite scriptures to use for creating affirmations for financial growth because they give the total picture or how-to steps for financial prosperity from the Bible.  This is God's wisdom for your success financially, but also spiritually because you can't really receive abundance from God unless you put Him first by obeying His Word.   

By putting God first and looking to Him above our intellectual knowledge to receive His guidance, we will not only prosper in our money but in our health.  What good is money really without our health?  

Breaking down the verses we see a well-rounded package for success in life.  As we put these verses into our hearts and act upon them, we can expect to receive the rewards of spiritual growth, mental soundness, good emotional health, physical health and healing, and financial prosperity. 

A deeper look at the list.  

  • Spiritual or inner growth and guidance from trusting God
  • Mental growth from God's wisdom and knowledge
  • Good emotional health achieved from following God's word and having needs met
  • Good health from obeying the Word
  • Financial Growth from giving and putting trust in God that He will bless and prosper it

Don't be discouraged about giving money if you don't have any to give.  Give in little bits, a few pennies, nickles or dimes and believe God for increase from your return.  






Money Growth Scripture Affirmations

As you can see from my presentation, creating affirmations from the money growth scripture found in Proverbs 3:5-10 will grow your faith for everything you need to increase your money God's way.

As I've said in the first few paragraphs of this lesson, with God it's not a question of asking for money from God to get for ourselves first, it's always to be a blessing for the Kingdom of God first.  Remember?  We must center our lives on God and He will bless us abundantly.  We must trust Him to do this as verse 5 tells us.  As we support our churches and give to God to spread the Gospel, we are putting God first and His Kingdom.
